I originally studied ceramics, sculpture and 3D design and in my working life I was a Foundation Course leader in an Art College until early retirement a few years ago.
I am now working in painting and printmaking as a means of exploring my creativity.
Exploration of the natural world, including the male figure, is the focus of my work.
A visit to the South African bushveld has been a great influence in the way I use colour and I make frequent return visits there to enjoy the wild life and to find visual inspiration in the lowveld near to the Kruger National Park.
